Price and additional information
COST & ADMINISTRATION
The cost of this tour is $1,950. Included are 10 nights lodging (double occupancy), luggage transport each day to your hotel, snacks to take each day with you for along the routes, and the navigation aids that you’ll need (GPX files and cue sheets). Non-emergency support will also be available each day.
The temperatures for Oregon in September are generally moderate and pleasant. In the central valley where we start, the average highs are in the upper 70s and average lows in the low 50s. Along the coast average highs are in the mid 60s and average lows in the low 50s. Chances of rain are relatively low, but weather can change and participants should be prepared to ride in the rain.
LODGING & MEALS
Lodging will vary, but generally will be above average for each location. In the larger cities lodging will be hotels like Hilton and Marriott, and in smaller towns they will be nice, locally owned hotels or motels. Lunch will be on your own each day as restaurants, cafes and stores are available along each route (except day 5 when you’ll join the forest creatures to nibble on nuts and berries ;-). Generally dinners will also be on your own, with group dinners undetermined at this time due to any COVID restrictions which may still be in force.
There are many options for arrival to Eugene Oregon. If you're flying into the area, the most convenient airport is Eugene (EUG), with a short taxi ride to our hotel. You may also fly into Portland, Oregon (PDX) and then take the train, shuttle or rental car to Eugene. If you’re driving, cars may be left at our starting/ending hotel for a reasonable daily fee.
If you cancel 90 days or more before the start of the tour AND we can fill your spot with a full paid participant, you will get a full refund minus the deposit. If we cannot fill your spot, or if you cancel with less than 90 days before the start of the tour, your refund will be determined by any unrecoverable expenses.
